1. I watched The Science of Sleep last night and it was really interesting. It was confusing for the most part, but I think that was half the point. I can relate to having odd dreams and sleepwalking because I constantly talk in my sleep, and I've been sleepwalking since I was about 14. It's very bizarre to wake up standing in the middle of your room in the middle of a conversation with someone who isn't actually there O_o
The movie also made me love Gael Garcia Bernal even more than I already did. I'm going to do a Gaelspam tomorrow because he is a frakking Adonis. NGH.
2. Gael wears a hat throughout the movie that I decided I NEED TO MAKE. It's going to be rough, but I swear I am making this hat.

Isn't it fantastic?? I'm going to attempt to make a pattern for that thing. It may take me until next winter to actually accomplish it, but I WANT.

My username is ack_attack because my last name is Ackerman and whenever I'm on a team or anything, we're always Team Ack Attack. A lot of my friends call me Ack.

My journal is titled "sugarplum fairy, sugarplum fairy" because it's the way John Lennon counts off at the beginning of "A Day in the Life" and I've been an insane Beatles fangirl since I was 10.
3. My subtitle is ____ because ____.
Putting the "ack" in crack since 2005 because I've had my LJ since 2005 and I think the rest is kind of self explanatory ;D

My friends page is called "Ack Army" because admit it, that's totally what you guys are &hearts

I feel like it's kind of...me haha. Hurley's just like HAI GUYS and he's all big and squishy and he says dude a lot.
4. According to my last.fm I listened to Bear McCreary 141 times last week hahaha. He's the one that writes the Battlestar Galactica soundtrack, and it is AMAZING. I think it may be the best score for a TV show...ever. Lost's is also fantastic, but this one is just ridiculous. One quote from a critic on his website describes his music as "rich, raw, oddly stirring... kick-ass and powerful as hell."
Word.
Even if you don't watch the show and you're a fan of OSTs, World Music (especially percussion stuff), or Classical Music check these out. These songs in particular SLAY me. If you take any, tell me what you think of them!

5. Speaking of music, The White Stripes - Icky Thump. Take this. Listen to this. It is FUCKING AWESOME. I'm a White Stripes fan - not hardcore, but I usually like their stuff a lot. This album > any albums in recent memory. There is a Mariachi song for chrissakes. And 2 weird Irish songs. And it's got wailing guitar solos and the softer songs are great, and seriously, just listen.
