It slipped my mind that I was due for my six-month post-LASIK surgery and just remembered a couple of days ago. Given that I'm leaving four days from now, I called the doctor's office and was forced to schedule my screening for the third week of May (my doctor will unfortunately be on vacation when I get back), and will therefore be forced to deal with my paranoia for more than a month more, since I haven't exactly been taking care of my eyes lately.
In any case, I've gotten myself worked up for the trip; I'll be leaving on Friday around noon, stopping over at Taipei on the way to LA. I bought a few sweaters over the weekend, and I surfed the net for Geeky Gadgets Galore as well. (Gadgets here have gotten a bit more advanced than they used to be; import taxes, however, remain as obscene as ever.)
Oh, yeah, what the heck am I doing blogging at 3:45 PM on a Monday, you might ask? Well, for the first time in a long time I have absolutely nothing to do and am thus bored stiff. I wish I could just sleep; I lack sleep again because (yes, I'm ashamed) I stayed up 'cause I couldn't finish these two annoying Sudoku puzzles, since I suspect the author of that new compilation I just got couldn't tell the difference between "beginner" and "diabolical." Pooh.
ETA: I watched the original copy of Goblet of Fire over the weekend (after undertaking a journey of obsessiveness -- long story, I won't bother to bore you with the details of my disorder), and it's getting me psyched for both the fifth movie and the seventh book. When are those coming out, anyway? Weh. (I'm guessing Rowling's decided to let the final book wait for the final movie; I do hope I'm wrong, though.)
Oh, and my keys are missing. How many times do those have to get lost for me to realize I need to have duplicates made?? GLKnp2399S)DA()#$`!!!
