Mine too!

I laid on my back on the diving board. The sun was too bright and in my eyes, so I scooted backwards toward the pool and let my head roll backwards. The pool was above me, a rippling sky with brightly colored people hanging out of it. Below me were trees and an endless sky into which it seemed I could just drop off of the diving board and fall, only the clouds to catch me.

Later, I went to check out the Shotokan club at UT, and stumbled upon an ITF Tae Kwon Do Club as well. They were just finishing up, and at the end we got to talking.

"What is your style?" someone asked.

"Chung Do Kwan," I said, about to amend that it was very traditional and probably kind of strange.

However, they made sounds of approval, and a tall blond girl asked, "Who is your master?"

I looked at her incredulously. There is no way on earth you've heard of Master Khan, I thought to myself. Instead I said, "Master Khan."

Long story short, she was a graduate of JMU and had been in the TKD Club there. So, yes, she'd more than heard of Master Khan: she was technically a former student of his.

The first person I meet here who actually grew up in Virginia and she just happens to know all of the same people as me. Small fucking world.
