I know that I was going to do this whole huge summer update with lots of pictures and stuff, but that is being postponed. But it will happen, I swear.
As for right now, I am sufficiantly angered. Nasty talk radio was playing in the kitchen as I made my french toast, which was fucking awesome, and it pissed me off so much. Everyone and their mother thinks they have the perfect idea on how to solve the hurricane Katrina problem. Well guess what. You don't. Other than peoples' lame ass ideas, what's being done is far worse. In Houston, the Red Cross is just handing out debt cards with 2 grand on them. That seems like a good idea until all the fucking red necks who live there decide they want 2 g's. Anyone can, and did, just walk up and get 2 thousand dollars. On said cards, it states on the back, "Not for the sale of alcohol, tobacco, or weapons." Well at least the money can't go to horrible use. Yeah, except that you can draw money from them like any other credit card and buy whatever the fuck you want with it. And by the way, the red cross makes me mad too because they suck and take like 30% of all the money they make or something outrageous like that. It's supposed to be a foundation to help those in need, not to make the rich richer. Die, Red Cross. And then we have the morons who somehow managed to slime their ways into office wanting to give more money to rebuild New Orleans than was given TO 16 COUNTRIES IN THE FUCKING MARSHALL PLAN. (If you don't know what the Marshall Plan is, which I really hope you do, you should be ashamed. It was the money given to the countries that were during WW2 so they could start to rebuild and boost their economies and to create stable conditions for a democracy and such.) That was 16 countries. This is one fucking city, people, it's not the end of the world. Not to add insult to injury, but was it honestly a good idea to build a city so far below sea level? And then some idiot compared this to 9/11. I'm not even going to get into that.
