So during the summer I usually go to the movies a lot to make up for how little I go during the school year. However, this summer I've been lagging behind, so I decided to make up for it all in one day. After eating some lunch to fortify myself, I bought a ticket for the 1:30 showing of Lady in the Water. It was pretty good overall, though I think it gets caught up in its own mythology a little too much. They could have stood to leave some stuff vague. But anyways, after that I caught Superman Returns, which was kind of a typical Superman movie. Kevin Spacey was an excellent choice for Lex Luther though. After that I saw the new Pirates of the Carribean movie, which had its moments. Overall an entertaining movie, you'll like it if you liked the first one. Then I caught the first 40 minutes or so of Little Guy, which was fine since that was about how long it took them to exhaust all of their small-man-mistaken-for-baby jokes. I'll never regret not staying for the end, especially since I left for Clerks II, which was amazing. It was definitely the high point of the day. It just as inane as the first, but more twisted. I walked out of the theater at 12:30, surprised to find that it had rained at some point that day. Good times. Next time I'm going to drag someone along with me though.
