All day. I haven't been able to move my body. Barely. Its like. Arg. Its been too long since I've been in a pit.
Okay so.
Let me first point out. That wasn't the most hardcore [pain, pushing, heat, ect, wise] that I've been to [sorta obvious? lineup?]. But since its been a little over four months since I've been in an upclose pit, I feel like it was.
/is so fucking out of shape good god/
Basically it was the first pit that I haven't fallen down in. I was more on the offense than defense. Meaning to get where I wanted to go I wouldn't just wait for people to move I would push people down. And if I felt like I was going to fall when the whole pit was to the left or right, I would push people so that I could stay up. And I'd also stand on their... pretty much their legs to be honest. I'm never usually too brutal but this time I was pretty violent.
I also haven't gotten my lungs crushed like that in a while. It was like Pink Floyd bad.
Anyway.
The Electric Touch was first. Amazing beyond amazing band. I'm now a huge fan. "Are you having a good time-Let me know." Really fast. It almost sounded foreign. He was English. They had an autograph booth almost ALL day. I went to go say hi. Didn't really make an impression like I usually like to. I was too razzled.
Drive A was second. Third going on Forth time I've seen them [On accident]. Their music is good and by god the boys are absolutely gorgeous but I've never really gotten into them. I've never heard them not-live so I don't really know that much about them.
10 Years was third. Basically what EVERYONE was waiting for. They were AMAZING. His mic was too low and didn't even work at first. He was still amazing.
Red Jumpsuit Apparatus was fourth. By now I'm just like. "Get the fuck off I hate you. Give me The Used." I think they're all really stupid. I don't even know why. Just no.
THE USED was FIFTH. Do I need say more? Apparently Texas treats them like Family. I hope we're special. This is when the crowd mainly got bad. Pushing wise. Crushing wise. Quin is so fucking adorable its almost unbearable. Bert is still the same. He never changes I swear to god. That surgery didn't do a fuck damn thing. Thank god.
TAKING BACK SUNDAY. Sixth. No, no, Now I can say, Need I say more. The main reason I came. I cannot muster a word for them, let alone their set. The only complaint I could have had was the demon that was the crowd making it almost impossible to see Matt. I wish I had more Matt. Instead I was by that nigger with the huge fro. Who the fuck is that anyway? Bass is supposed to be on the fucking left. Why couldn't I at least be by Edd? Regardless of this it was amazing. I had fears that Adam was more like a grown up now. Good god I was so wrong. Hes still the same. Fuck damn. He looked at me many times just because I was loud as FUCK. His smile is so fucking cute. /dies/ I don't know if it was to the girl in front of me or me [in front of her was the barricade so I don't fucking know] but Adam said "I love you too sweetie". It was after I screamed, I didn't hear the chic in front of me say anything! I don't know. I'd like to say it was to me. /makes self feel that way/
This is when I left the floor. By now its like. 6. I hadn't eaten or drunken anything all day. That plus pit. If you've been to a show you know what I'm talking about. You feel like you're going to die.
At this time I get two martinis [I met this really nice chic. I now love her for showing me the love that is the plastic cup lime martini]. So cold and fucking wonderful.
I never went back down but stayed up in the side lines for Shinedown [never got into them tbh], Papa Roach [Always Amazing, didn't feel the need to get up close since I've seen them and they never change, by now it also starts to rain], Blue October [Same as always, better lights this time, it looks like they cared more about what they looked like too, ha], 311 [by now its fucking cold. Very fucking cold. Its on the verge of icing.], KoRn [What can I say. KoRn. Amazing. Doesn't really need a description. Its just. Korn.].
Autograph lines were for forty minutes. [for every band besides The Electric Touch. Somehow they got their own booth at the floor, the orange one in the picture] I didn't get to meet anyone. Fuck them. Line was too long. There was two lines, one for people who bought their CD and another for regular people, I bought cds for a second time [already owned them at home] just to get in the special line. Looks like there was too many people who did the same thing though. The Used were ass holes about it. Despite that we treated them like Family. )8
Anyhow. In two words? Amazing show.
Some of you haven't seen this many people in one place for a music festival. [that's half of the stadium and ONLY the floor, there's a whole second story. Well. On the side I'm standing on there's a third story with a restaurant, but the second story is the one that has food and more booths, and the like.] I find this kind of thing beyond redic. Get your ass moving before you regret it.
[I'll upload pictures later. They're seriously awesome.]
The Electric Touch is the first band that made me not able to wait to go to the store tomorrow to buy their album. First album bought on Amazon.
/is done being a faggot/
Seriously go to a fucking show. The feeling of being in the pit while freaking like shit because of the music. Amazing feeling. Getting sweaty and gross for the bands you love. Amazing. Looking like shit. Also awesome.
Somehow I always look better when I get out of the pit. I find this strange. My skin is just a lot better.
Anyway, just go. China you faggot. You'll never feel the bliss if you don't.
