Dean's never had a problem before. Not with what he does, how he lives. He learned a long time ago that sometimes you gotta roll with the punches, take what you get, make the best of it. That's been pretty much the way he's lived his whole damn life.
He never once figured on falling in love.
Sure he's had plenty of girls, more than most guys his age probably. And he knows almost every trick there is to get in a girl's pants and keep her totally happy while he's there. But he meets Cassie Robinson, and she's like a whole other species of woman. Beautiful, classy, smart as hell. As different from his usual pick ups as night from day. Yeah, his lines work on her, but even Dean knows it's only because she lets them. So maybe she's the one picking him up. Dean's doesn't mind.
She takes him home the first night and rides him like a damn pro. Grins at him like it's all a big joke and leaves bite marks across his chest. Dean lets her pull him into the shower and he fucks her slow and gentle against the tile. He wakes up in her bed with the warm weight of her body curled against his side. And the funny thing is, Dean doesn't think about the quickest and quietest way to get away once.
Later, he realises that's where he should have known better.
