LA LA LA!

Woah, I've been busy. I had the most offing AWESOME Sunday I've had in a very long time; so of course now I'm going to natter on about it incessantly. Here's a list of the great things from the past few days:

1) I got to spend my third weekend in a row in NYC. I love it so, so much- I'd almost forgotten how much I missed it. I'm hoping to spend a lot more of my time down there these days, I'm happier there than I am anywhere else.

2) The reason I was in NYC. My dad got me tickets to the New York Film Festival, and we went to go see this documentary on Roger Corman. I'm a huge Corman fan- I've loved his stuff ever since I was a kid, and I was super excited to get to watch the documentary, which I'd heard was fantastic. Well, not only was the documentary GREAT, but guess who was there as a guest of honor? THE MAN HIMSELF. He stayed afterwards for a Q&A session and I got to ask him a question. I got to talk to one of my childhood idols. I SPOKE TO ROGER CORMAN, HOLY BALLS, BEST THING EVER.

3) My dad and I went to get dinner afterwards at my favorite restaurant Ollie's Noodles. Oh my God, their red bean buns. HEAVEN. HEAVEN ON A PLATE.

4) Then I got to ogle Jason Isaacs on this detective program on PBS for two hours, which was lovely as always. The show was a bit meh, but he was very good.

5) Today my friend Patrick punched a guy in the stomach for calling a girl in our school a cunt. I'm very proud of him. He's making brownies to celebrate and bringing them in tomorrow. I love my friends.

I'm gonna go hit a punching bag for forty five minutes and then mop floors. Because while I'm still technically laid off, I've come to an arrangement with my new boss where I clean the facilities in exchange for free classes. I feel a little Cinderella-ey, but oh well. Hopefully it'll put me in her good books and as soon as they get enough money flowing in they'll re-hire me. I really miss my job :(

job, oh my god i met an awesome person
