The year is 2007, and wizarding Britain has entered a period of calm following Voldemort's downfall. Though tensions still remain between conservative purebloods and more liberal sections of society, neither side is eager for another war. Peace, or at least a truce, has been established, and the damage of the war has been repaired. The state of things at last seemed stable.
It didn't last.
Not a day after Minister Shacklebolt met with the newly-elected Muggle Prime Minister, the existence of wizarding society was breaking news all across Muggle Britain, and soon the world. Secret's Out picks up immediately following this incident, in the thick of the resulting fear and chaos both groups are experiencing.
