I have no motivation of real encouragement, but I can do nagging.
...Actually, I might be better with nagging in person. Still.
You promised to do Big Bang, and if you don't write 2,000 words today you'll just have to write more on other days and so you should just write the 2,000 words now.
It's about 4,500 words right now, but since 1) it's getting quite late here and I am running out of energy, and 2) it's at a nice, neat scene end rather than stopping awkwardly in the middle of one, I've sent it off to preliminary beta so I can make sure I've got a good start before I get too far in.
See? You were worried for nothing. And now you can sleep, or alternatively, prance (in a good way) about the internet, gloating about your 4,500 words, even if some of them will go away because you have a margin of 2,500 over what you needed today.
Oh, but I wasn't starting from scratch, I was starting from about 3k. So the 2k was designed to put me at 5k, which means I came in a bit under my goal, but. So it goes. I'm still pleased with what I got done, though, and my initial feedback is good.
