I love your characterization in this piece. Each founder is beautifully portrayed, and it's nice to see the Helena dynamic. Really a well done fic, and the last line just stabs into you.

The link at thegoldenseeker is to the founders_gifts comm but I followed you home to be sure that you know how much I enjoyed your story.
First the rec caught my eye because I'd never seen this pairing before. I'm glad that you had a back story about founding Hogwarts. I especially liked that it was Hufflepuff's idea. I also loved the scene involving imbuing the building with the magic of its founders and making it sentient.
The theme of sacrifice was also stirring. But I was left with some questions. Were you saying that Rowena was a seer? Also, I felt the mention of families was abrupt because of the need to add Helena Ravenclaw. I would have liked to know of Helena's father. Where was he? The baron wasn't mentioned accept as a killer. The diadem hadn't been mentioned before it's disappearance led to Rowena's downturn.
But none the less, I did enjoy your tale despite my wanting moar! And since discovering your masterlist, I will make time to explore your stories.

Yes, my version of Rowena is a Seer- not that she often deigns to share what she Sees with anyone else. As far as Helena, the diadem, and the Baron,that got left out largely because it's supposed to be, first and foremost, Helga's story- to cover the Ravenclaw family was a broader scope than I had in mind (especially on a tight fest deadline!) I've actually written a couple Helena-centric drabbles before, though... but they're incompatible with the 'canon' of this particular fic.

But enough of my babbling. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

I adored how you tied everything together especially Rowena putting her mind into the diadem and her death. Very touching, you make the founders characters so real and alive I adore reading your stories.
