Nightmare Summary
I don't have much to say in conclusion for Nightmare's route, other than the fact that I really enjoyed it. Coming straight from Heart, I always visualized Nightmare as a more mysterious and powerful figure in Wonderland, so playing his route in Joker was quite an experience for me. It was interesting seeing him outside of Dream Realm and discovering his goofy side.
Anyways, if you're looking for a more aggressive bishie and craving hot, steamy scenes than this is not the route for you. I liked how QR portrayed Nightmare to be sweet and gentle towards Alice, and still keep his scary side through his protectiveness for her. But sometimes it felt like Nightmare was lacking... initiative (?) s
Please read Gray's summary before you read Nightmare's. Both routes share the same prologue and a number of events since the two are both from Clover Tower. I won't be going into detail with the Joker events either.
Warning: This summary contains spoilers and may not be 100% accurate, so read at your own risk.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The first event starts off with Nightmare leading the conference for the upcoming Snow Festival. Gray and Nightmare insist that Julius should make the snow statue of Nightmare as the main attraction. Julius refuses and ends up leaving the meeting shortly after, much to their disappointment.
So after the meeting was over, Nightmare barges into Julius' room and demands that he make the snow statue. He figures that since HE is the leader of Clover Tower, then Julius WILL make him a snow statue if he wants one. xD Again Julius refuses and calls Nightmare annoying.
The argument goes on and Alice eventually takes Julius' side, apologizing on Nightmare's behalf for disturbing his work.
Nightmare: Alice, you're taking his side?! ;A;
Haha! This scene reminded me that despite his role, Nightmare could be a bit childish at times. Anyways, Julius eventually got tired tired of his rambling, so he ended up kicking him out of his room. xD
Sometime later, Gray goes to give Julius a personal visit to request him to make the snow statue once more. Julius rejects his request, claiming that because he is from the Clock Tower, the Snow Festival had nothing to do with him, and therefore was not obligated to help.
Meanwhile, Alice finds Nightmare slacking off again.
Alice: Nightmare.
Nightmare: Zzz~ -snoring-
Alice: Nightmare...
Nightmare: Zzzz~
Alice: Wake up!!
Nightmare: Zzz~~
...
Alice: WAKE UP!! -shakes Nightmare-
Nightmare: @#$*?!?!!
Nightmare finally wakes up when Alice shakes the hell out of him, but even then he refuses to get out of bed, saying he does not want to work because it is too cold outside.
Knowing how stubborn he can be, Alice cuts straight to the chase and rips the covers off, revealing these cute kittens that were snuggling with Nightmare under the sheets. (I think they were picked up by Gray?)
Unfortunately, it isn't much later when she finds Nightmare slacking off again.
But this time she decides to change the tactic. Knowing how much Nightmare hates the cold, Alice comes to the conclusion that if his work environment became more comfortable then he wouldn't be so opposed to his duty. Thus, she decides to serve him some coffee and bring the cats into his office.
Nightmare: Ahh~ Warm cat! Warm coffee!... Perfect!
Now see how much more efficient one is when the work environment is adjusted to one's liking? I know I wouldn't mind going to school if there were hot chocolate and kittens. xD Also, notice the look on Gray's face here: he was jealous that "Nightmare-sama", the slacker, got to snuggle with the cats while he, the dedicated employee, was slaving away.
Nightmare continues to work diligently until a new problem arises.
Turns out that he ended up becoming TOO comfortable and started falling asleep on the job. While the warmth and pleasant setting gave him motivation to do his work, it also ended up making him feel lethargic.
Some turns later, Nightmare begins to crave some mont blanc cake and complains very loudly about this in the middle of work.
Seeing this picture, I understand why he hates his job so much. If I had a big, fat stack of hell awaiting me at my office everyday then I would never want to go either. D8
Anyways, as the trio is talking, Gray mentions that the cake is a seasonal food and only attainable in autumn. So Alice visits Joker and changes the season to autumn.
Now that it's fall, Nightmare and Alice go off to hunt for some mont blanc cake at a local pastry shop. As the two started browse through the store's selections, Alice notices how nice/flirtatious the female employee is towards Nightmare. She begins to feel insecure about herself but quickly brushes these thoughts off by reassuring herself that the two of them only had a boss/employee relationship.
When the two are finally about to make their purchase, Nightmare has himself a little 'derp moment'. xD
Nightmare: Uhh...
Alice: What is it?
Nightmare: Well, I sort of forgot my wallet. D:
Alice has a brief "deer-in-headlight" moment upon hearing this and asks him why he didn't bring it when he knew that they were going to go shopping. Apparently, he doesn't carry his wallet around with him because one of his subordinates (usually Gray) brings it or pays for the items.
During the next event, Nightmare and Alice go to town where a Wine Festival is taking place. This time two come prepared-- armed with a wallet full of cash.
I don't remember much from this scene since a lot of the translations came out funky, but the two ended up getting this free bottle of aged wine from Blood... cheers!
Back at Clover Tower, the gang snuggles up against this nice kotatsu they find and everyone is like, "Howaaa~! This feels great".
Nightmare: Once you get in, you can't get out.
Julius: Then don't go inside in the first place!
Gray: ...You are wise Clock Maker.
(Once again, the details for this event is posted under Gray's summary)
Then the scene switches to Nightmare eating mandarin oranges.
Nightmare: My hands are yellow! D:
Alice: That's what happens when you eat those... o.o
Standing right next to him, Alice notices how beautiful Nightmare is up close. His skin in particular is fair and blemish free; porcelain like a doll's. She doesn't say this outloud, but he is able to read her mind and is more than happy to return the compliment.
Nightmare: You have a good, healthy complexion. It's truly beautiful.
Nightmare: You are beautiful, Alice.
Alice: Why are you saying this?
Nightmare: Because you can't read minds like me, so I must say it.
It's official-- Nightmare is such a sweetheart. You just can't deny it after this scene! xD
Moving on, the Clover gang visits the circus.
During the show, Julius becomes more concerned with how the magic tricks are done, and makes an effort to analyze and predict them. Gray tells Julius to not be such a downer and to try an enjoy the circus more.
The argument begins to escalate and eventually leads to this:
Poor Nightmare and Alice are seated in between the arguing people. D:
After the show ends, Alice gets separated from the group and ends up getting lost. Then Joker finds Alice wandering around and asks her what she thought of the circus. She thanks him for putting up such an amazing performance and the he sort of brushes off the compliment, saying that it was the circus performers who did all the hard work. (Does anyone else find his humble side attractive?)
They continue to talk about the circus and the conversation shifts to the territorial disputes of Wonderland, and it is revealed that the circus grounds is neutral territory.
The two are interrupted when Nightmare finds Alice.
Nightmare: Ah, Alice! You were here all along.
Nightmare starts rambling on about how worried he was and how he shouldn't have taken his eyes off her, but stops when he realizes how spacey Alice was. Unlike the guys in the other routes, Nightmare immediately knew that Alice had met Joker because he was able to read her thoughts. Sensing her confusion, he tells her not to let Joker get to her because he often misleads lost people.
He says "Even if you lose your way, I'll find you in my dreams."
That night, Alice falls asleep while reflecting on her amazing experience at the circus, and meets Nightmare in her dreams. The two talk about Joker again and Nightmare tells Alice not to worry about Joker. Hearing this again, she begins to wonder if the two had a bad past or something of the like.
Alice: Nightmare, do you hate Joker?
Nightmare: I don't hate him, but I do dislike him.
Alice thinks how Joker is hated by everyone, but unlike Pierce, no one fucks with him. Nightmare explains to Alice that every roleholder is disliked and that a lot of people hold grudges against role holders like Julius.
He leaves her to ponder on these thoughts as she wakes up.
Some turns later, Nightmare holds another conference about the Snow Festival at Clover Tower. He tries to convince Julius to make the snow statue again, but he refuses. So Gray decides to take on the job.
Gray: Please allow me to make it. I have confidence when it comes to cutting things into pieces.
Nightmare: Gray... Such a technique is not necessary;;;...
Nightmare insists that Gray's home economic and artistic skills (anything outside of fighting, really) is really questionable. Feeling bad for Gray, Alice defends him by saying that he can atleast make good hot chocolate.
With no one else left to do the job, Nightmare finally decides to leave the job to Gray.
After the conference is over, the scene switches to Nightmare petting his kittens and sulking about how things didn't turn out the way he wanted.
Nightmare: Geez! The Clock Master sure is stubborn.
Alice is fed up with his complaining at this point and tells Nightmare he is selfish and childish. He sulks even more upon hearing this.
Nightmare: Are you taking the Clock Master's side?! ;A;
Alice: Wat?
Nightmare: Do you like him more than me?
Alice: What are you talking about...
Alice tells Nightmare that back when she was in Heart Country, she would miss him but back then she also did not know he was this useless. He complains that she is nicer to Julius and asks him to be more gentle with him to, which I also agree with. No kidding, that last statement from Alice was kinda mean.
Alice changes the season to spring, hoping it will improve Nightmare's health. Fortunately, his physical condition DOES improve with the warmer climate, but he also starts sneezing, which leads us into a new problem-- allergies. His allergies eventually get so bad that Alice insists that he should go to the hospital.
Nightmare: I won't go, I won't go, I-- *achoo!* will absolutely not go! *achoo!*
Knowing how stubborn Nightmare could be, Alice pretends that she is also sick and insist that they go to the hospital together.
So he finally agreed to go for her sake.
The two go to the hospital, get an exam, receive medication, and begin to head back.
Ironically in the end, only Nightmare got a physical, to which he complains about very loudly. He stops when Alice suddenly kisses him.
He immediately falls to his knees, too embarrassed and too flustered to even face her properly.
Nightmare: W-what in the world were you thinking?! To do such a shameless thing..
He reminds her that they are still in a public place-- the hallways of the hospital. Then he suddenly makes a comment about how to medicine stinks to which Alice replies, "Mouth-to-mouth feeding. ;)".
Yes, you read that right. In short, Alice manually fed Nightmare the medicine, through an open kiss. xD
After receiving the medication for Nightmare's allergies, the two decide to go out and enjoy the spring weather by going for a stroll in the park.
This scene would be more romantic if Nightmare wasn't so sick...
Nightmare: A-achoo! Achoo!
Alice: You're condition hasn't improved...
Nightmare: But your condition seems to have improved...
Alice feels bad for making Nightmare come out with her when he is still sick, so she asks him why he came out with her. He endures through his allergies and tells her that he enjoys spending time with her.
So the two continue to stroll around and stop when they spot something in this tree.
Alice: What's that over there?
Nightmare: Is it a cat?
They see a kitten stuck on a branch, struggling not to fall and decide to save it.
Here, it is revealed that Nightmare CAN float, even outside of a dream. So he floats up to save the kitten, which ends up drawing a lot of attention from the people nearby, as they realize that the incubus is here. The people begin to point and whisper.
After Nightmare picks up the kitten, he asks if she has a piece of cloth that he could place the kitten in, since his handkerchief is too small. So she takes off her apron and Nightmare places the kitten there.
All of a sudden, Alice notices blood on the back of Nightmare's hand. He tells her that the kitten had scratched him out of anxiety when he first approached it. Alice tells Nightmare to wash the cut before it becomes infected but he insists that he will be ok, so Alice takes him to a nearby pool and washes his hand, treating the wound gently.
Nightmare: ... Alice you're--
Alice: Hm?
Nightmare: Though you can say hurtfun things, you are kind.
Alice tells Nightmare that she also thinks he is kind. But as the two are talking they realize that more and more people are becoming aware of the couple-- or rather the incubus, as the surrounding people continue to whisper and gossip.
Lady: Is that the incubus?!
Stranger: Why is he here?!
The two draw more attention from nearby people, so they decide to return home.
Moving on, we see Nightmare focused and on task; working diligently as duty require.
Gray: See how much more productive you are when your physical condition is good?! Now.. let's keep working hard.
Nightmare: Bahahaha! Gray, I won't be discouraged by your slave driving today!
Alice: (Seems more like a factory.;;;)
Then Nightmare sees Gray, coming with a fat, stack of hell round 2 and de cides to make a run for it!! Go Nightmare, go!!! Unfortunately, he doens't make it that far and Gray decides to lock him up with Julius, so everyone gathers in his room
Julius: Why are you all in my room?!
Gray: We're just taking security measures to prevent Nightmare-sama from escaping, because he is more likely to run if he is in a spacious environment.
Nightmare: But I said I wouldn't run away. I'm serious. ._.;
Gray: And I wonder how many times you promised not to run, but did so in the end!
Basically, they put Nightmare there to prevent him from escaping. Also Gray picked up some flying squirrels at some point and now Julius' room has been invaded by them and the Clover gang. xDD
Anyways, the guys begin to talk about the second circus event and explain to Alice that the rules require them to go once more. Julius asks her if she enjoyed her last visit to the circus. Alice hesitates, remembering the events in the Prison Realm but hides this and tells them that she did enjoy it.
Time passes and the time for the second circus event finally arrives.
Similar to the previous circus event, Alice gets separated from the group and lost. While she is busy beating herself up over her derp moment round 2, the Jokers come and find her again. Again, the two talk about the circus and Alice thanks him for the great performance. Their conversation is cut short when Nightmare came to the rescue.
The two walk around the circus, hand in hand, and come across this photobooth with a bunch of kittens and animal plushies. Of course the two decide to take a picture together:
Camera man: Now, please look here and smile!
So the two return home with this cute picture. <3
That night, Alice falls asleep and meets Nightmare in her dreams again, but as the two are talking, Joker makes a surprise visit. Like in all the other routes, Joker verbally harasses Alice and pisses Nightmare off. Being in Dream Realm, Nightmare has the upperhand thus resulting in Joker pretty much getting bent over by Nightmare. xD
After the fight is over, Alice wakes up in her room to find Nightmare by her side.
(After playing through all the other routes, I always wondered what would happen in this scene in Nightmare's route. Well, I guess it would make sense for her to wake up with him by her side since it's happened with all the other guys.. O_o)
Nightmare: Alice...
Alice: Hnn~ =A=; *half asleep*
Nightmare: Alice, please wake up...
Alice: Hnn?
Then she does this deer in headlight looks as she completely wakes up. xD
Alice: WH-WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?!?!!
Alice remembers that Nightmare was not here when she went to bed, so she should have slept alone. She begins to wonder if this is a continuation of the circus and thinks that the trick to surprise people must still be going on.
Alice: (Am I still dreaming??)
Nightmare: Haha, you're cute when you're still half asleep, Alice. ^_^
At this point, Alice has completely forgotten about the dream and is more flustered about Nightmare seeing her in her pjs, so she tells him to get out. He ignores this, and like Gray, we see more of Nightmare's vulnerable side in this scene.
Nightmare tells Alice that he loves her and begs her not to leave him.
Nightmare: Stay with me, Alice. Stay here with me. Don't leave me.
Her kisses her passionately and tells her not to leave him.
In the next event, we finally see the Snow Festival:
I won't go into detail since I already left up the dialogues and information under Gray's route. But it's basically the same as Gray's route: Vivaldi and Ace get an invitation and come over, Gray gets trolled into next week, the gang heads into the igloo, Nightmare pops up, and Vivaldi trolls Nightmare into the next scene.
Nightmare starts coughing up a storm during the Snow Festival, so the two head back to the Tower where Alice takes care of him. While the two are talking, he starts pouting about how none of his guests respected him and how it's not right for the organizer of the event to be driven out, and Alice is like, "What are you talking about;;;".
Anyways, the two continue talking and Alice mentions how it's not good for him to always stay cooped up in the warmth and security of his shelter.
Alice: But you should go out sometimes. It's unhealthy to shut yourself up in a warm place all the time.
Nightmare: But I won't catch a cold if I stay inside.
Alice: Then it becomes easier for you to get out of shape.
Then Alice loses her patience and starts trolling him about how he's so childish and always complaining. Poor Nightmare. ._.; His ego got bent over the bed and plowed through in this event, huh? XD
Nightmare: You're always on someone else's side...
Seeing Nightmare so depressed, Alice feels bad and suggests that they should visit some other territory with a warmer season.
Thus she changes the season to summer, the two go on a date to the Amusement Park. Lucky for them, the weather is no longer freezing balls, but jumping straight from winter, the two weren't ready to face the heat of summer.
Weakened by the intense summer heat, two decide to cool off by the water fountains and meet these children in the process.
Children: Oh! Is onee-chan gonna play too?
Alice: Yes. Excuse me for interrupting you guys.
Alice gets excited and begins to frolick around the fountains with the children, and gets wet in the process.
Seeing this, more children begin to flock around like pigeons, and before the two knew it, they ended up getting dragged into the children's water fight.
Girl: Join our team!
Alice: Uh..
Girl: You'll play on the same team as us, right onee-chan?
After the girls dragged "Alice onee-chan" into their team, the boys decided to recruit "Nightmare onii-chan" into their forces, turning the game into a girls vs. boys - 2v2 match. xD
Boy: Hey, no fair! Well we have onii-chan. >:U
Alice: Huh?
While the children were arguing, Alice noticed that unlike the adults, the children were innocent and unafraid of Nightmare. Her brief moment of inattention led to her being the first victim.
Boy: Take that!! -shoots water-
Alice: Kyaa!
Seeing this, Nightmare tells the boys that he can't shoot the girls (ALICE); the boys complain very loudly about this.
Boys: But you have to! we're on the same team!
Nightmare: But even so--
Nightmare: Pfft--?!?!
Girl: Hehehe! Score!
Boy: Hey! No fair!
Girl: That's what you get for looking away. ^_^
Here, the little shits decide to play mean and squirt Nightmare in the face. Surprisingly, he doesn't complain or even yell at the kids... I guess QR tried to focus on bringing out Nightmare's gentle side in this event?
Anyways, the kids went back to playing nice after that. While the two were playing with the kids, Alice couldn't help but feel happy, seeing Nightmare getting along so well with the kids.
The two return home later, soaking wet, much to Gray's distress:
Gray: What in the world were you guys doing, gone for so long?
Alice: I'm sorry...
Nightmare: Me too...
The two continue to get scolded by Gray (mostly Nightmare), for being gone for such a long time and coming back home, soaking wet. As the two were getting scolded by Gray, Nightmare turned to Alice and said, "Fufu. I had fun with you." ^_^
Knowing that Nightmare had a weak immune system, Gray worried that he would catch a cold, so the two decided to go to Nightmare's room to warm up by the fire and change out of their wet clothes.
As the two were getting ready to change, Nightmare notices Alice struggling to untie the wet knot on the back of her apron. So he decides to give her some much needed assisstance. ;)
Nightmare: It seems like you're having some trouble. I'll help you
Alice: Uh...
Nightmare: It's fine.
While Nightmare is helping Alice with her apron, she notices that his shirt is sticking to his chest and wonderes if it would be hard to undo the buttons with his cold fingers. Needless to say, Nightmare reads her thoughts and is more than happy to accept her help.
Nightmare: Well, it is hard to take off, so please help me. ;)
Basically, the two end up partially undressing each other and despite the trouble, Nightmare admits that he is glad that he got to go out and spend time with Alice:
Nightmare: Being with you always makes me happy. I enjoy any season that I get to spend with you.
During the next event, we are presented with Gray's purple porridge. I'll be skipping along this event since the dialogue and summary was posted under Gray's route.
The topic of the third circus event eventually comes up, and suddenly-- Nightmare becomes serious and asks Alice what she will do. Being a foreigner, Alice wasn't bound to the rules of their world, and thus has the option of staying behind instead of going to the circus with the group.
Knowing his intentions, Julius warns Nightmare about the penalty of breaking a rule.
Alice: Is it true, Gray?
Gray: Yes, it's true. There is a penalty for breaking a rule.
Nightmare: Gray...
Gray: In some cases, the penalty can be judged more heavily.
Nightmare: Gray.
Gray: In a position of neutrality and role to keep the balance, the risk of destroying the balance must be considered. It is a rule that Nightmare-sama--
Nightmare: Gray!! A subordinate should not interfere with their boss' actions too much.
Gray: Sorry. ._.;
Then Nightmare turns to Alice and insists that it would be best if she didn't go:
Alice: I'm going too.
Nightmare: Alice... Please listen to me-- just this once.
The conversation goes on like this and Nightmare eventually gives in and promises to protect Alice, since she was too stubborn to listen to him.
So, Alice changes the season to winter and the Clover gang goes and enjoy the circus like all times before. At the end of the show, Alice ended up getting lost again, but also got kidnapped by the Jokers this time.
Just as the Joker is about to whip her heart, Nightmare breaks through the Prison Realm and comes to her rescue.
Joker: Oh? Is it the incubus?
While Alice is shocked, she begins to wonder why Nightmare was in Prison Realm and if she was still dreaming. He reads her thoughts and tells her no because, "If we were in a dream, then I wouldn't have lost sight of you in the first place."
Nightmare orders the Jokers to let Alice go, but unfortunately the two don't take to well to being ordered around in their own realm so they whip him. Here, Joker mentions how Nightmare showed him no mercy back in Dream Realm, so the two were more than happy to return the favor by whipping the shit out of poor Nightmare. xD
Alice begs the Jokers to stop but the two continue to beat Nightmare mercilessly, so she finally takes action and grabs his arm.
Nightmare: Alice?!
Joker: ?!
Alice: i beg you... please stop it.
...
Joker: Haha!... Would you rather take the burden of the beating instead of this fellow?
I'm not sure if the above statement was translated corrrectly, but the conversation after that point sort of lost me. Basically, Joker ended up pissing Nightmare off again.
The fight ends shortly after that point, and as the Prison Realm begins to shatter and collapse, Nightmare calls out to Alice:
Nightmare: Alice! Come quickly!!
Joker: What will you do, Alice?
As Nightmare calls for Alice, Joker asks her what she will do. He claims that Nightmare is just like him and asks if she is scared? Of course Alice defends Nightmare and tells him that isn't true, but if you think about it-- Joker is kind of right. Like Joker, Nightmare hides the truth from Alice and misleads her (if you don't understand what I'm saying here, then refer to the true ending for Heart no Kuni).
Knowing this, she still runs up to Nightmare.
Nightmare: Alice, what a relief that it's actually possible for you to listen obediently to me...
The couple returns to Clover Tower after escaping Prison Realm. Normally Alice would be in bed thinking about the circus, but this time things are different...
Alice: What horrible injuries...
Nightmare: It's not that bad. You're just over exaggerating--- ouch!
Seeing his injuries, Alice immediately feels bad about Nightmare getting hurt on her behalf. He attempts to ease her worries by porting them to the Dream Realm--
..--where all his injuries have magically healed!... Or so it appears.
Still feeling suspicious, Alice decided to test Nightmare.
Nightmare: Alice?? Wat's wrong?
Alice: Nightmare--... *touches the spot of the injury*
Nightmare: Ow, ow, ow, ouch!!! W-what are you doing?!
Alice: So you ARE still wounded after all. -_-;
Basically, Nightmare put up an illusion to ease Alice's anxiety. While he may look fine, his injuries are still present in Dream Realm so Alice demands him to port them back to the surface so that she could treat his wounds.
However, Nightmare insists on staying in Dream Land so that he can be with her for a while longer. Aww! Even when he's wounded, she's the only one on his mind. <3
Anyways, Joker appears in Alice's dream the following night and tells her that she will lose her way again because of her guilt. And like in Gray's route, Julius is the one to save Alice during the final prison event.
One day, Alice is having tea with Peter at Heart Castle, and the circus, Joker, and Nightmare eventually come up in their conversation. Peter tells her that Nightmare can't make her happy and tries one last time to get with Alice. Unfortunately-- or fortunately for Nightmare, Peter get's rejected.
Peter: You would come visit me in the warm spring... but go back to the cold winter?
Rejection-- shit ain't fun. D8
Anyways, the ending for Nightmare was quite interesting. The two visit the Hatter territory and go to this neat party, where there is a lot of good food from the harvest.
-
Nightmare: Here.
Alice: Oh, thank... it looks great.
They find an orange pudding of some sort which ironically, turns out to be pumpkin instead of orange.
Then a random man passes by and Nightmare gets really quiet all of a sudden. Picking up on his thoughts, Nightmare grabs the dude and decides to slap on his asshat:
Nightmare: Hey...
Guy: W-what do you want?!
Looking at his face, we can tell that's quite a bit of rage packed into a few pixels. XD This is like the calm before the storm where one is usually REALLY fxxing pissed and has a calm exterior, before screaming and going ape shit on 'X' person. I call this one-- the "Silent/Implied Rage", where one is so pissed that verbal raging just doesn't cut it.
Needless to say, Nightmare starts giving off this deadly aura and the atmosphere around them immediately becomes hostile. Alice couldn't bring herself to be upset at his attitude because she suddenly remembered their stroll in the park and what it felt like to hear the surrounding people gossip from a distance.
She wonders what the guy could have thought about her to piss Nightmare off so much as he started terrorizing the poor fellow.
Nightmare: Do you understand? I am an incubus that you should fear. It is not possible to hide anything in front of me. Did you honestly think that I wouldn't hear you cursing from such a distance?
At this point, the poor faceless dude is scared pissless and attempts to defend himself by saying that atleast he didn't say anything out loud. Nightmare responds that even if his thoughts went unspoken, merely thinking it was the same felony. He doesn't care what the guy thinks about him, but he can't forgive the guy for insulting the one he loves.
The man starts apologizing in his mind, but as we all know, Nightmare shows bitches no mercy.
Nightmare: Shut up. I won't forgive you. I'm not finished with you yet.
Guy: @#$&**!!!!!
Nightmare continues to mentally rape the poor man, even when Alice tells him to stop.
He finally stops when Blood pops up.
Blood: Is there a problem here?
Nightmare: Mad Hatter...
Thinking that Blood came to save him, the guy is like "Boss! ^0^" and gets all hopeful. Blood ignores him and asks Nightmare what's going on. Nightmare replies that he doesn't feel like many any excuses, but mentions that Blood's subordinate is lacking discipline, thus the current situation.
Blood: Indeed, so it seems.
Guy: Huh? b-boss?
Blood: Take him away.
Servants: Yes sir.
Guy: W-wait! Boss!
Man, am I the only one that feels bad for this poor fellow? I understand why Nightmare would be angry towards the guy, but to be tortured and then dragged off to possibly endure more torture or even death--? Needless to say, this dude has definitely seen some better days. D8
Anyways, Blood apologizes for his rude subordinate and invites the couple to come visit him again.
So the two visit him later, and enjoy some tea at the Hatter's mansion. Nightmare appears to be having a good time while Alice feels nervous about being on enemy territory, even though they are from a neutral territory.
She notices how Nightmare doesn't appear to be nervous at all and asks Nightmare about it.
Alice: How can you be so relaxed...
Nightmare: Fufu, are you feeling nervous? He gave us a special invitation to his residence, so you should try and enjoy yourself a bit more.
Then Elliot joins the tea party and greets the couple.
Elliot: Oh! What a rare occasion for you guys to come all the way out here!
Elliot's cheerful personality immediately brightens the atmosphere and Alice begins to feel better.
Then an idea hits Alice; she asks Blood if he is pissed about what happened during their last visit and asks what his real intentions are. He laughs at this, and tells her that he invited her because he thinks of her as a good friends who shares the same appreciation for tea as him.
Blood decides to get a little more.. 'friendly' with Alice and tells her that he got a new shipment of books, and invites her to come visit him again. Nightmare obviously doesn't take to well to this and gets a bit jealous.
Nightmare: I'll be sure to give you an oranged filled dream next time. It'll be fun Mad Hatter. ^_^
Blood: Urk--?!
As the two are leaving, Blood asks Alice if she is scared of Nightmare and she tells him that she is not afraid of him.
On their way back, Nightmare brings up this subject again:
Nightmare: Are you really not scared of me?
Alice tells him he is not scary and knows that she can't judge him for what happened during their previous visit to the Hatter's mansion.
Alice: Nightmare...
Nightmare: What is it?
Nightmare: ?!!
The kiss catches Nightmare off guard so he asks her what's gotten into her all of a sudden. She responds, "But we're lovers. Do I need a reason to kiss you?". Then seeing how embarrassed he looks, Alice asks if he doesn't want to kiss anymore.
Nightmare: No, I do want it! I really want to do it!
So he pulls her in for another kiss. He tells her that he loves her and wants to touch her more. He also mentions how he doesn't want to lose to Blood. Alice wonders why his name is suddenly being brought up.
Alice: Were you jealous?
Nightmare: FF--!!!
Haha, bull's eye! Nightmare admimts that he was jealous when Blood started getting friendly with Alice, and she assures him that he has nothing to worry about.
Back at Clover Tower, Gray and Alice talk about Nightmare. Gray mentions that Nightmare can be a scary person but continues to remain loyal to him. It is the same with how every employee respects and fears their boss a little.
The conversation ends shortly after this point, and Gray leaves Alice to ponder on these thoughts. This topic is brought up again when Alice asks Nightmare about this, who seems to be quite understanding on the matter.
Nightmare: It's alright, because I understand it's a natural reaction.
Alice reflects upon these thoughts and realizes that while Nightmare can be scary he also has a gentle side, like when he helped the cat that was stuck in the tree, and how he took care of the stray cats that Gray brought in. So Alice tells him that she does not think he is scary and loves him for who he is.
Nightmare: Alice...
His reaction? This:
He pulls away, asking if he is being to aggressive, but she tells him that she doesn't mind so he goes in for it. And here, Alice decides to show her more kinky side.
Alice: (However, after we put these guys away we can continue, right?) ;)
Nightmare: !!... It won't be easy driving these guys away...
Alice: I wonder about that? ;)
Haha! Look at Nightmare's "D8" face. xD Well, that's the happy ending for Nightmare and Alice!

Looking through my last two summaries, I felt that they were quite image heavy-- so much to a point where it looked like text was lacking so I tried to tone down on the cgs and insert more text and dialogue this time. Also, I'm not sure if it's distracting, but I add in the keyboard smileys ( ^_^, D:, ._.; etc..) to help readers visualize the mood/atmosphere in certain scenes.
I also took out the Joker scenes since I felt like I was being to repetitive, but now I kind of regret it. Maybe I should go back and add them in for the sake of coherence? What do you guys think?
Well, if you spot any misinterpretations or a particularly bad typo, then please let me know and I will try to fix it asap.
My apologies for the delay once again! This summary ended up crashing on me twice, resulting in the loss of about +2k words each time. Hopefully, it won't happen again.
Now onto Peter's summary...
