I was bored while Brady was at work last night, so I decided to bake something. Not that long ago, someone in bakebakebake had posted some plum mini tortes they had made. But I really don't enjoy plums at all, so I decided to add peaches instead. She had used parchment paper, but her instructions said you could also use baking cups. At first I tried the parchment paper but it seemed to be a little difficult, so I used baking cups for three of them. The baking cups actually didn't come out as well as the parchment paper ones. I only have one cupcake pan at the moment, so I did more than one batch. All together I made 11 because I still had more batter, but no more peaches! I cut the peaches into thirds because they were so big, and I thought for sure I'd have enough. Oh yeah, and the recipe says to mix sugar with cinnamon and sprinkle it on top before you bake them, but I didn't have cinnamon... I thought for sure I had some, but I did have allspice so I used that instead and it still tasted delicious! Chalon is having a BBQ tomorrow, and I'm definitely making more to bring to that. They're so easy to make and seriously one of the most delicious things ever.
Also, Brady bit my lip last night because he got all carried away, and now it's so bruised! He felt sooo bad. I mostly thought it was funny because my lip got swollen and HUGE but didn't hurt that much. His face was priceless and he kept asking, "OMG what did I do??" I thought it would go away by morning, but nope, my lip is purple haha.
