I am that same person, yes. Though intensely cool, I can't promise you that, it's probably not true.

Oh YAY! I was hoping you were; I've read and reviewed some of your fics! I always remember them for the great snarcastic humor. And oh, as much as I hate that this fandom is so dominated by a hierarchy of Seb/Ciel shippers, I take pleasure in being a vocal minority - I ship Ciel/Lizzie like madness. X) Partly b/c I love Lizzie, and partly cause I can't make characters gay who... aren't. *shrug*
I don't even think it's a minority. I mostly ignore the fuck out of the fandom on LJ, but the people on bb.net are pretty awesome. It seems like Seb/Ciel is a popular ship, but it's a not majority compared to everyone else. they're just the craziest and loudest fans in the fandom.
LJ/ff.net has a really different heirachy compared to like bb.net and DA. On DA, I've seen way more people who have basically said "fuck everyone else, we're just here for the reapers" then people who are all "blah blah subtext taken out of context blah."
...That's so ENCOURAGING... I'm on bb.net too, I've just never been very active - till NOW! But it does get a bit overwhelming on ff.net. It just brings out the royal jealous bitch in me to see all these badfics with tons of reviews just b/c it's the reader's pairing of choice. Oh, if I hadn't promised myself never ever to flame anyone, what WOULDN'T I say...

Honestly, i can get by in any fandom because for fandom the only thing you really need is one totally kick ass fandom friend, and everything becomes a lot less horrible. Bad fic starts being funny, peoples bad taste is now more reason to mock society and bad cosplayers are no more note-worthy than the kickass ones. It's all about taking shit that sucks an turning into something you can laugh at.
I never flame. I find that most people get so worked up over honest, unbiased feedback that you don't need to flame them. I have only one person in fandom I actually hate and I've taken a solemn oath that if I ever see them- I will go over there, and I will knee them in the face.
