Day One
So far so good! My darling B wasn't feeling well, so he took off work early (2 points for a half day) and used his extra time to gather 13 more points for 15 total. Makes my modest 12 look, well, modest. We'll see, though--he seems to have used up most of his big scorers between the first day and the day before (Sunday was mowing day--4 points for the back and 3 for the front), a lot of which won't have to be done for another couple of weeks.
But now the house is tidied (1 point), vacummed (3 points), and dusted (2 points); the dishes are done (2 points for more than 2 days' worth--no matter how many more it is) and the dishwasher emptied (1 point); the mail is sorted and put in its proper place (1 point); the grocery shopping is done (1 point per store each--we always do this together) and put away (1 point); the laundry is done (1 point for washer); and the trash is taken out (1 point). And all that, barring the one point I got for putting the groceries away, is from him!
I managed my other 11 points by working a full day (4 points), feeding the cat (1 point), emptying the litter box (1 point), doing my own dishes/cleaning up after myself (1 point each), putting the load he did in the dryer (1 point), preparing our water bottles for the next day (1 point), cooking a simple dinner (1 point), and taking out the recycling (1 point).
Oh, and almost all of yesterday afternoon I had "When the Saints Go Marching In" in my head because it was someone's phone ring.
