Anyway.
In the last couple days I've decided on some naming conventions for my knife designs, and coming up with names, It's given me four or five NEW designs, all actually QUITE good. I'm either getting better at this kind of thing, or not working really IS what gets the creative juices flowing.
So i decided one of my knives was named "Henry J Jr"
Obviously, I then needed to do a scaled up version called the "Henry J Sr" since i had to have a knife called that. Then I decided that Fictional Adventurers was the theme of this "set" of knives and I wrote down Samson, Bannon, Drake, Reynolds and Solo.
So I look at that list real Quick...... Ok, Bannon and Samson have to be similar.... Solo and Reynolds are more "shady" fighter style designs than the others...and Drake...... Hmmmm. The Nathan Drake Production sketches were the origin of the idea that eventually led to the HJJ and the Adventure Holster that the knife was intended to go with , so it stands to reckon that aside from being the name of a fearful and dangerous dragon, it should be the most versatile, since Nathan Drake works the most outside of the law. Also, he has a little more of the Lara Croft "alone in the jungle" edge, so i decided it needed to be a chopper..... and then the best idea I've had in a year kinda came out of me..... I also ended up managing to FINALLY integrate an idea I've been toying around with since 03 or 04 but never managed to get just exactly right. I think the particular knife got it JUST right. I'm so very pleased.
And I DEFINITELY know what the Solo is, and I know the difference between the Bannon and the Samson, and I THINK I might have the Reynolds (I guess I need a Mal, and a super updated version of the Pilot Survival Knife called the Wash)
ALSO: first time I've used this icon. I just made it tonight. I'll clean it up as Time goes on.......
