Car details
So Saturday Im following Steve to Lansing from Fenton because we stayed at his parents the night before. So we take Beard Rd instead of taking 23 to 69 because that takes so much longer. I didnt think it was the best idea to take Beard Rd because in certain weather conditions it can be slick. So I'm following Steve and we are at the very, very end. Steve stops at a stop sign before he turns onto Lansing Rd. I step on my break to stop behind him, but with the way the snow was packed down I wasnt going to stop. I knew the only way I was gonna stop heading that way was hitting Steves Jeep, so I swerved onto a side street. Well instead of just stopping on the side street I lost control of my car and went into some small trees and a huge ditch. The trees stopped my car from going any father into the ditch then what I was. My front right tire was in the ditch and my back left tire was in the air so there was no way in hell I could get my car out on my own. Unfortunatly my phone was dead and as I was calling AAA Steves phone died aswell. So I grab my stuff and throw it into Steves car and we go to his place to charge our phones and I call AAA. The man I spoke to said he wasnt able to get ahold of any tow trucks at that momen because there was a 30 car pile up on 23, but he would keep trying and get back to me in 5 minutes. Well, an hour goes by and I hear nothing so I call back. A different guy says a tow company is on its way and it would be there no later then 6:20. It was like 5:45 so we left and went back to the scene of the accident.
When we get there my car was gone. I kept trying to call AAA but the answering sevice continued to say my truck would be there in 15 minutes. Then the tow truck went by without my car. I called 911 and was directed to Shiawasee Countys State Police who towed and impounded my car. I was given a ticket for going too fast for road conditions, which is meh. I was going 45 and the speed limit was 55. I got it back, it was $125 in towing fees. I spent all of my money and had to borrow $25 bucks from Steve.
But I guess all in all it was a blessing in disguse because apparently my mom is looking into leaseing a new car for herself and is gonna give me her car.
