Oh, thank you so much! What lovely compliments. :) This was a piece I really wanted to do, because - yes! - River is often portrayed as very mature and confident; and even though we have some evidence that she could be like that (her reaction to Badger, for one), I think that she'd be much more innocent in matters of the heart (so to speak - heh).

I think all authors are walking on thin ice with River. But you do it so gracefully. And you don't push her into being someone she's not.
