It rained a lot yesterday.
SO. Jen, Nick, Alex, Chris and Awesome all came to my work when I got off, we went to my house and I changed and watched a very silly Meshuggah video. Then we drove to Finnigans Bowling Alley/Mini-venue. On the ride there, we were treated to an in-depth report on slavery by the one and only Kermit De Frog. The day before he spoke of the Holocaust (The Fraggle one, not the WWII one).
Jeremy was there and some girl who knows, but none of us know who in the hell she is. We missed the first band. The next band was god-awful. The band after was ok, but they needed a new vocalist badly and the drummer needed to practice s'more. But they played "Blinded by Fear" by At the Gates, so big mad pr0pz y0. UGh, I never want to type that agayne.
The Divinity came on and it was great, as always. Mark (Lead vocalist/guitarist) had come up to me beforehand asking if we had any requests. I said "Borealis" which is kinda a technical song. But they played it! Aww. Watching them play is always wonderful. Especially Jim, if he's not headbanging all over the place, he looks like he's in ecstasy. =)
Then we hung around, met Johnzo, spoke of Muppets, the upcoming DVD and other things. Alex had some kind of attack, so we got her fries and Mark tried to soothe her with Freddie Mercury. Tom (Backing vocalist/guitar/brother to Mark) tried to soothe her with a tampon and aromatherapy. So we got in the car, Alex started to feel better and we listened to Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds's album "Let Love In", which is a brilliant motherfucking album.
Dropped Nick, Alex and Jen off. Then the three of us went to a diner and got good food.
Dropped people home.
Now I need to go to work.
