Realizations are neat. As is knowing that you have changed, that you are somewhat more mature than you used to be.
So my life. I'm trying to get a job where my mom works. Pays more. If not, then I might try to transfer out of Borders to one into the city. I'm going to be going to school 5 days a week, for 6-10 hours a day. I want to kinda live there, just come home to sleep you know? A big change, but I think it would do me good.
I met Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, creators of the comic The Boys, yesterday in the city. That was awesome, Ennis is one of my all time favorite writers in the world of comics.
Then I read for a bit and met Jeremy and Alex and we went to Claypool.
Two Gallants opened and were good. Drums and guitar, sad songs with a lot of energy and feeling. Neato!
Claypool was awesome. He played some Sausage, some Holy Mackerel, lots of Purple Onion, and lots of his stuff. They covered King Crimson too. My favorite part might've been the dual drum solo with the Percussionist and drummer. They were so TIGHT. Augh, made me wanna drum set so bad. And they were very connected when they played Long in the Tooth.
Woo! My cousin Daniel is coming to my house tomorrow, I plan on taking him out to eat and stuff.
Life is pretty good man. Happiness is somewhat more attainable for me.
I've been noticing how my interests have been growing lately. How I'm really getting into punk (Most recently the Damned, NEAT NEAT NEAT %D), comics, Lost and different styles. I dig wearing all black, but maybe I like colors? WHO KNOES LOL.
I've been listening to Day Without Dawn pretty much non-stop. They really are a fucking amazing band. I'm happy that I can group them with Green Evening Requiem, and Divinity Destroyed and Wolf it Out as local bands that fucking rule.
Seeing Melt Banana in a week, and then Pig Destroyer six days later.
Oh and PS David Bowie is fucking amazing.
