So I'm reading three books at the moment: Love in the Time of Cholera, by Gabriel García Márquez; Dune by Frank Herbert; and Sahara by Michael Palin (of Monty Python fame).
I started reading Dune because of my love for the Sci-Fi adaptation of the book and because of Alex's interest in it. Also Divinity's lyrics help. The book is fantastic; Herbert has such a distinct and unique style. It takes some getting used to, but now I devour his words and the thoughts he gives his characters,
I began reading Love in the Time of Cholera because I asked Stefanie to recommend me something to read. The book turned out to be much better than I expected. It's written in a style that reminds me of the classics, but with a modern flourish. I honestly could not tell when this book was written until I looked it up (published in 1985). It's a wonderful, fantastic book. It's made me laugh and sigh aloud.
Sahara is neat. Michael Palin writes on his day to day journey throughout the Sahara. I'm actually only up to Morocco, so right now he's still in some sort of civilization. He rights like a distinguished Englishman, with only the slightest hint of his young, "raucous" days coming out.
Man, I sound like a prick when I try to describe things. HAH.
Today was a good day. I enjoyed it. Lost is becoming better and better; I cannot wait to finish the first season so I can start on the second.
Tomorrow I get paid extra, and that is awesome. Tuesday I'll be going into the city for Comic Book Club.
I just bought my Pig Destroyer, Mayhem and Finntroll tickets. WEEE!
Welp, that be it...FOR NOW.
PS, learning aboot your cousins lives through Facebook is kind of ridiculous.
