zomg an update?
Been a very long time since I updated...and not really gonna bother updating all the stuff that happened (lot to cover and it'd rape people's friend pages probably).
To sum up some stuff...after teaching for the students, my partner and I had to do a facility design where we overhaul and entire department and create floorplans for new classrooms, computer labs, labs, etc. Did all the work...everything in autocad, multiple layers for each thing, color coded, printed out copies for people, bound them, and did the powerpoint. I said "f it" to bothering to get my partner to help. Went over really well, only thing we were told might be a problem was the size of our offices and their position, beyond that they loved it...especially my presentation which I dominated. Before we presented it, my prof told me to "let him hang himself in front of the faculty" in reference to my partner. Because we were to present this to a group of faculty posing as school board members, prof felt it would demonstrate who put the effort into it. Overall went well.
Took the finals for my classes, passed all of them fairly easily...partner failed 2 classes including our teaching class. One prof eventually tweaked the grade so he'd pass...my prof for teaching wouldn't budge on the grade. Downside was that my prof wouldn't let me take my partner's name off the publication of my activity packet, so I decided NOT to get it published. I'd rather not be published and have a good activity packet, then to have someone that doesn't deserve to be credited be given that credit.
End of school right there basically. Friend left for the marines that weekend instead of waiting a month :/.
Started working this summer, same job as the last 2 summers but with a new boss. 30-35 hours..not as much as last year but 9 hours shifts so I get more in a day than before. Downside is that my boss is quick to make racist comments to any person that isn't white or atleast inappropriate comments when they leave. Black man came in to pay for gas, once he left my boss said nonchalantly "he cooked pretty well"...I took it as pretty inappropriate. That and his constant discussions with older people in the community that turns towards negative discussion of black and latino people >_>.
Trying to save cash, going to buy a grand prix and get rid of my dodge that mysteriously stopped working yesterday. Have the cash after this weekend and can drive a decent car FINALLY.
Basically my summer so far...work to get cash for a car...find myself deeper in the hole cuz mom is fairly broke and borrowing money to buy stuff.
Also, my brother (going on 18 soon) got his girlfriend pregnant and he's starting to get his life together so he can support the kid. Pretty proud that he made the change so quickly since he wasn't exactly doing much with his life until then. Kid is due in February.
