Day 1 - A Journal-virgin takes the plunge...
... where to start? Hmmmm. Well, I think I'll start as I mean to go on and just spout some random crap. I gather that's what LJ is all about anyway?!
Today is the day where I am but a few small hours away from reaching the grand old age of *cough*. As such, I have decided (for the umpteenth time, mind) to stop smoking cigarettes within the next fewer, smaller hours. Reason being that I made a promise to myself that I would quit fags (ciggies, not homosexuals) before I reached *cough* years old. I was always one for cutting it fine when it came to deadlines, even self-imposed ones. Clearly, judging by my cough, it is about time anyway.
With a combination of will-power, nicotene gum/lozenges, excessive quantities of food/pop etc and heroin I should find it almost doable. I have done it before afterall. I was able to quit for 2 whole years before, so I think I must have enjoyed the quitting process and foul moods that go with it so much that I would be just gagging to put myself through it all again. And again.
