writing things doesn't make you a writer

I’ve been searching my mind for new ideas on the subject, maybe something to end the war. To go to an art school or not.... What are they supposed to teach me? Tricks of the trade I’m guessing, challenging me until I want to cry, having me take creative risks? That’s all fine and well but deciding which is the correct one for my type of art is a difficult decision. I can tell you something right now though, anywhere the Fort Hayes kids are going, I know I won’t want to be there. I’ve built up this wall against mediocre photography or art I’ve seen a thousand times. Kansas City “seems” like a good school, good for me. Do they teach me everything and hold nothing back? I don’t want to be taught the newest style of anything, that’s undermining my creativity, as if I’m not capable of taking age old techniques and spawning a revolution! Bah.
