Kali arrived October 3 at 7:11 am, 7 pounds 8 ounces. Happy, healthy, very intelligent baby. I love her. A lot. Very proud parent.
I had since been laid off (seasonally) from my job with Canadian Pacific and have been working with my dad in the construction business. Usually on a high-rise tower in downtown Calgary. There are some pretty good views from being 46 floors up off the street. I keep forgetting to bring my camera though.
Hates Calgary. There were never any good drivers in this city to begin with, but throw in a few feet of snow and suddenly everyone acts like the rules of the road no longer exist. Very good thing that we now have a house in Ponoka. It is an hour south of Edmonton, 2 hours north of Calgary. A small town of about 5 or 6 thousand. Beautiful house too. Good for raising a family. And easier for me to pursue my apprenticeship as a boilermaker since most of the training is done in Edmonton. Still just moving the last bits of stuff up there. We had a terrible blizzard so that kind of got in the way, but since my brother is still staying in the apartment we had previously shared, there was no rush to move.
Life is well.
