Nuts and Bolts

My DVD collection is nearing the point where I don’t know what else to get.  But I’ve still got a few in mind:

*Star Wars: Episodes 3-6 (I see no reason to buy 1-2)

*Lord of the Rings (Special editions)

*The Princess Bride

*Shrek

*The Emperor’s New Groove

*Cowboy Bebop: Collection 8

After this, I think I’ll own every movie that I is worth $15 to me.

Working at Blue Arc is kind of hit or miss.  Some days they have me working pretty constantly, other days (like today)… not so much.  But so far I’ve designed four major projects.

*Acid Washer Tank for a small company in Greenfield

*Pneumatic Conveyer Stops for a subsidiary of GM

*Foot Operated Pallet Stops

*Safety Cage for Toyota

Honestly, that’s not a bad list considering I’ve only been hear a month and a half.  But it’s not all productive work over here.  Every now and then a day comes along where there’s very little to do and I feel guilty for not working.  I have a timesheet I have to fill in as the day goes along and it’s not like I can write in:  “The only available task was sorting our nuts and bolts, so I opted to play minesweeper for an hour.”

In other news: After some recent soul-searching, I've realized that soul-searching is a somewhat pointless activity for me.  I'm not confused about how I feel or what I want, only about how I will accomplish the goals in my life.  This, however, cannot be solved like an engineering problem.  Which brings me back to my least favorite part of Christianity:  Trusting that God has this all taken care of.
