It would be awkward if I started professing my love and spouting out proposals, so I'm gonna skip that.
This! Is amazing! I loved how Linkara's thoughts included Ask That Guy, but now that I think about it that just makes sense, and I loved Harvey's talk with Linkara, especially the part where he said that it wasn't wrong to try. Also amazing was Linkara's observations of Insano's eyes and Dominic's inclusion.
With how much you had Linkara thinking about SoI, I'm actually kind of wanting to see something where they meet up, now.
And is it wrong to say that I had been waiting for this ever since you said you might do it? And that it was definitely worth the wait?

LOLOLOL. :D

Ask That Guy is scary, powerful and a known prostitute killer. Of course Linkara would be concerned about him.

Harvey is so understanding, it's crazy. He never gets fed up with Linkara's dramas and always has advice.
Also amazing was Linkara's observations of Insano's eyes
Well, after keeping those ridiculous goggles on for so long around Linkara, of course Linkara's going to notice Insano's eyes. And it's also kind of symbolic. Insano's not just the villain in the goggles, he's a real guy behind the mask.
and Dominic's inclusion.
I'm kind of fond of Dominic. And Lori Prince. I need to find a way to work Lori Prince into a story at some point...

Yeah, after I thought about it for a second, I was like, of course! whenever you think about Ask That Guy, dead prostitutes aren't far behind. would this be a bad time to mention that now I kind of want to see that? where Ask That Guy finds out Insano is a prostitute, and Linkara has to protect him (maybe, because sometimes Insano's pretty good at that himself)... and then Ask That Guy would probably off-handedly mention something to The Critic, and then it would snowball out from there until everyone knew... okay, shutting up, now.

Exactly!

Ooooh, Iiiiinteresting. *strokes chin thoughtfully* I imagine that Chick would be surprisingly supportive, and they would mention it to Spoony like "Dude, why didn't you say anything?" and Spoony would be like "Uh..what?" and then he'd get all upset that he never noticed. And meanwhile ATG would be patting himself on the back for chaos well spread.
For Linkara, it's not that Insano's eyes are pretty or anything (even though they are), more that he actually has them?
Yes! Exactly.
and oh, is it okay if I imagine that Spencer and prostitute!Insano sometimes

Fantastic! I adore Linkara being conflicted and trying to muddle through doing the right thing, and it makes total sense that he's got a soft spot for Insano's kid. I love him wanting things to be simple again. I love the fact that the mad science and grandiose world conquest plots ARE 'simple' in this situation.
Plus, I love Linkara trying to hold out against his attraction. I'm a sucker for denial, I guess. XD
There's got to be a series in this somewhere. He's a comic book nerd with a collection of magic artifacts! He's a mad scientist ex-hooker trying to go straight! They Fight Crime!

He tries so hard.

His world's been shaken, he just wants to go back to what's familiar and not have to deal with the change.

Me too, me too.

I would watch that show every day and twice on Sundays.
Reading another side of the same story is always interesting, I like those, it gives the story more charm once you go through different sides and Linkara's POV here is really interesting. His denial outstands as always.
His world being shook by knowing more about the one he calls nemesis when he was not even trying to do it surely was a hard blow as you show. The references to Ask That Guy play a great deal in his nobility here, he's trying to make things right but is difficult when he doesn't really know what "right" is now, great dilemma.
Dominic! Oh Missy! Stop lurking inside my head, I was thinking of him from the very star, hahaha.
And that inner conflict about him "taking advantage"? I like it and jealous Linkara is almost sweet. Strange enough, what I like the most here is Linkara's fascination with Insano's eyes.
Oh man, now I have that image of Ask That Guy stalking down Insano and Linkara coming to the rescue, and then they hug and cuddle each other, and then romantically kiss :D

Well, there's certainly no way that Ask That Guy would sit around and not do anything about it when that particular piece of information came to him.

Like I said, it's almost symbolic to him. Seeing Insano's eyes for the first time was seeing him as a person for the first time.
