Mornin', all.
Another day of sledgehammer-to-the-temple fun at the office. I can think of about six acronyms right now that give me the shudders because they represent projects looming on the horizon I can't touch yet. Nothing like anticipation to get the blood freezing. ...alright, so it's not that bad. We drama kings tend to take things to the next level just for the sake of some friggin' action. Today definitely feels like one of those days. A Tuesday in disguise. (To bring y'all up to speed--Mondays and Thursdays are extremely fast here, whilst Tuesdays and Wednesdays cause bleeding from the ears in their lassitude.)
I caught Elektra downtown last night. Once again, Marvel caught me by surprise. Much like DareDevil, I expected the casting of the flick to be the downfall of a beloved storyline--and I was happy to be totally wrong in my assessment. The villains were faithfully redone (and redone well), the storyline appropriately (and alternately) sappy and predictable, and the fight scenes were painful to watch, as any good action sequence should be.
Ninjas can break their own necks. With their hands pinned behind their backs. That is amazing.
So. What's for lunch?
