1) So, guess who failed to make the word count for
startrekbigbang?
2) Aaaaand I came extremely close to losing my job yesterday - I was doing lunch cover on the Flying Camels, where there's a height restriction of over 1.2m unaccompanied, over 1m accompanied. I'd just loaded a ride when the operator that I was covering came back, so she did the final check whilst I went off to do my next lunch.
Apparently, I'd let someone on the ride who was a quarter inch less than 1m (though I hadn't realised at the time), and the operator got everybody out of the ride to height check them all and then rejected the slightly too small young girl and her mother.
And then the operator told our team leaders that I'd been letting babies onto the ride, and the mothers went to Visitor Services to complain (more about being told they couldn't go on than my mistake), and yesterday evening I was told to write a letter of apology by this morning, and the only reason that I hadn't been fired was because I'd never put a toe out of line before.
Great.
3) Aaaaaand at cadets last night I was told that I have no duties, because I am never in attendance, and perhaps I should think about coming down to the squadron more often if I want any responsibility. Despite the fact that I have been down every single parade night since the beginning of July and I will continue to attend until the middle of October, and they are well aware of the fact that I go to University and come back to the squadron out of my desire to help out.
So I have absolutely nothing to do when I go down. I just have to sit and watch far junior corporals be assigned teaching drill to the little ones, teaching in general, being in charge of dress, and whatnot.
What a bad fucking day.
