They call me the wanderer

This week has disappeared scarily quickly- comes of being busy for most of it!

Monday- somewhat of a lazy morning...then up to Stoke for ELTS. Finally got it confirmed that Jake and I don't actually have to hand anything in, seeing as we're not registered on the module and are attending it optionally. Woo!

Tuesday- FYP recording :) Did some foley work that turned out pretty cool, then headed in to uni for my FYP meeting. Ben seriously thinks I can get a first. And I really really want to try. He went through my progress report and presentation, and was really impressed by some of the things I'd brought up; stuff I hadn't even thought twice about, as it seemed natural to me to include it! Bodes well for writing my 15000 word dissertation.

Wednesday- the day of many many meetings! Up early to get to Stoke for Varsity Captain's meeting (we're getting sponsored socks), then a meeting with Lisa about insurance details for the rental car, then a quick catch-up with Michelle H and Amy S in Ember. A dash across to the top floor of Flaxman to meet Peter Thomas (another English Language tutor) to sort out one-to-one sessions. Went out and got some Euros for the weekend, then was invitied back to Ember for a pre-outdoor-training pint. And did so! Outdoor training, pub, Stafford for indoor training (with a Kay from Wolverhampton- she came up to Stoke training to surprise Chunion, and also because Airwolf haven't got training sessions at the moment). I did my good deed for the day and walked Kay back to the train station before grabbing a bottle of wine on the way home and having a giggly night in the living room.

Highlights of the day- scoring 2 points in outdoor training and one in indoor, chasing down a few stray discs and making some great snatch catches (both indoor and outdoor). Oh, and being the odd one out when we did a square drill- after my abysmal throwing in outdoor training (as my thumb has well and truly messed up now), Geo suggested I work on my left handed throws as I can get a stronger grip, therefore more control and power. So when everyone else was throwing sidearm in the drill, I was throwing backhand (and vice versa).

And the awesome highlight- the women's team beat Portsmouth in the BUCS trophy match! :D 133 to 100, a fantastic result! Means we have another away match next week though, to University College London. Oooh dear.

Today has been lecture and work, and will later consist of packing for Ireland.

Limerick tomorrow! :D
