(no subject)
Longest weekend of the year is now over, but it doesn't stop here :)
Main freshers intake was yesterday, which meant a nice 7am wakeup to be at uni for 8.30. My team gained a person! :D I'd asked for Shareen to be on my team because I'd met her at the Stoke training session and loved talking to her. I got John C-A (Castle-Anderson. VERY tall and VERY strange Scotsman, but a real laugh and is happy to be given jobs to do) and Iain (not as tall and not Scottish, but otherwise just like John) by default- as we were a bit stuck as to where to put these two because of their oddness. I volunteered, and am pretty glad I did. But I also ended up with Lorri! :D
Very long day of enrolment/car park duty, but cool fun :) And the freshers party last night was cool too, if only because the venue was almost near capacity for the first time in almost a year. Despite a complete evacuation being needed due to a conflict between a smoke machine and the fire alarm systems. Didn't stay long enough for the Editors' DJ set (I was knackered) but apparently it was ace.
Don't have to be in til 3.30 today, but I'm going to head in earlier to see if the SU staff need any help moving things across to the new office/activity space. It is HUGE and has many comfy sofas.
School Disco tonight :) Want to stay later tonight but I have to be at work by 9 tomorrow!
Although work has never stopped me before, so I doubt it will this time either.
