I'm in an...interesting mood. A kind of 'I'm not really sure who I am and what I'm doing, but ooh look there's something shiny!' mood. It's not unpleasant, but it's ever so slightly disconcerting.
Anyway. I have housemates again! Two of them, to be precise, one living either side of my bedroom. Its good, very good. I've lived on my own for the best part of 3 months (bar the two weeks back in Birmingham- but even then my parents were out at work all day) so having other voices around besides mine is fantastic.
I'm not actually starting to regret my latest painting project as much as I thought I was. Though I have to paint all the writing with a toothpick to get it all neat and correct. And I had to do much of the drum kit detail with a toothpick too, that took an hour on its own.
Oh, I'm painting
this by the way. Adventurous, much? That is a lot of writing. It's taken me half an hour to get up to 'much' on the first line.
Might be a short story post later, I feel like there may be one bubbling away.
I feel VERY weird having a left hand of very short nails and a right hand of quite long nails. Joys of playing guitar :) Though it feels odd when I'm playing keyboard. Of which I now have two (Thanks Dom! :D). Wonder what it'll be like next weekend when I get my drum kit up here.
Oooooh yes. Two years of waiting, and I FINALLY get my beautiful drum kit back. Two years of it sitting gathering dust in the Birmingham house. It's the thing I spent an hour or so taking to pieces last weekend, and my parents are bringing it all up to me next weekend :) Easily an hour or so to put it back together, but then it's MINE again!
I can't wait :) Though I'm a little nervous. I used to be a teacher-grade drummer, fluid and good at independence and syncopation and all different styles. Two years later, will it be like riding a bike?
We'll see. First song- probably Take Five. Second?
Well...let's see if I've worked out Knights of Cydonia properly, shall we?
