(no subject)
So Bonnaroo was awesome. Mostly because I made it awesome, the company was less then great, thus I often ran away with Juan and left the rest in the dust. I didn't pay 200 dollars to take care of egos, drama, or anyone who wanted to complain.
Juan and I had a blast; Thursday- Vampire Weekend and LezZeppelin were awesome!
Friday- Stephen king was nice to see again, The Raconteurs were so awesome. M.I.A was INSANE!!! like whoa the crowd was insane and she is a goddess, the sound was off but she was such a great M.C that she made it work. She announced that it was going to be her last show ever, and I thought it was a stunt but I later found out it was true all of her future tours were cancelled. I'm so lucky/happy I got to see her but I hope that after much needed rest she'll come back to grace us with her craziness. "I love my Hippies", lol.
I saw Metallica...and I still think they didn't belong there and I still think that the show and the whole festival has sold out. If they keep doing this shit I might have even reconsider if I'll go again. They played a clean set, precise and perfect after so many years of practice but gag I just don't like them and for being a headliner show I wasn't impressed. After that it rained and it got freezing cold and I missed Tiesto. :( The rain this year made it really hard to see everything I wanted.
Saturday- I saw Soul Rebels, Two Gallants, Against me, Ozomalti, B.B King was amazing he was got the key of the city from the major of Manchester, he told stories and sang beautifully what a jam it was. They showed me on the big screen smoking a blunt! lol that was great. I missed zappa plays zappa and other shows because I was so entranced by the great B.B. King in all of 82 years of glory. Jack Johnson was a bit boring even though I love to hear his stuff on my player, go figure. Pearl jam was awesome, especially seeing them that close. I went to the tent to rest before going back to see sigur ros and Kanye west but we fell asleep :(. Fuck kanye west because I just wanted to see his light show but sigur ros...I just want to keep kicking myself...but its ok Juan said that we would see them even if we had to travel to their home land lol. Sweet! Sunday well we can never stay to see anything on Sundays because we have to all head back to work. :( poopy.
Spent the rest of the week taking a break from everything. Cleaning and Organizing the Bonnaroo mess lol. I missed my draky when I was away soooo much; thank goodness that chil took care of my babies. I realized that I needed to wedge some space between my friends and me. I think one took it to heart but I don't care, I need my space and Juan and I need our quality time in our place together, alone.
Friday we visited his fam, went shopping and bought pretty stuff for the yard, lights and flowers for me to plant. ^_^
Saturday Juan, Kristi (neighbor), and I did yard work. Kristi is an awesome neighbor; we need more people like her. We left the yard looking new, I uprooted some shrubs from the front yard, and I planted my flowers in pots to then transfer them to the front. Juan did the grass for the whole yard and between the three of us we took down two trees, one was a dry rotten tree and the other was a tree coming from the house next door that was blocking all the sun to our yard and to our mango tree. Now hopefully the mango tree will be able to ripen better and we can sun bathe~! woo hoo.
Saturday night, has the rain came in, Juan and I did some relaxing in the yard before the rain came with wine and all...we stayed up all night, what a trip. We painted one of our bedroom walls, now we have an insane looking tree lol. I love it. I love everything we create.
Best memory; in bed with the bed against the door to see the sun coming up, eating breakfast. after the trip, Juan says "see we are good "sano" people, we're eating breakfast early in morning like everyone else." lmao I just sure everyone else waking up isn't dressed like us or stayed up all night listening to the Beatles painting their bedroom wall.
It’s nice to be weird and crazy with some one who gets you.
