As a preface, This Link was shown to me by
jennthered. For those of you who don't like to click links, I will be talking about hoohaas in the form of vaginas. So if you want a little background, click the link. I'll wait.

*whistle*

Back? Okay, cool.

I went through most of the stages of remorse while reading this article. Basically a woman was driving past a theater with a sign advertising that they would have 'The Vagina Monologues'. She called and complained to the club because she was upset that her niece saw it. She was 'offended that she had to answer the question' her niece posed to her.

I had to keep asking myself questions that I couldn't quite answer. Because I'm not this woman and I have no idea what was going through her mind. Even if her niece was very young, I don't see what's wrong with saying 'it's a word for your naughty/girly/private parts'. And suggesting that she shouldn't say that word to anyone. If that's the problem. Behave in an adult way about it. Saying that your 'offended' about having to explain what a vagina is when you are a woman is something that I find amazingly sad. Like it's something to be ashamed of. It's not called 'The Cunt Dialogues'. Vagina is the appropriate term for it.

Complaining about a picture of a mostly-naked man or woman on a billboard is one thing. Taking offense to a scientific term for part of your own body is... I really just don't know what to say.

Am I missing something? I mean really... what do you think? And how is changing the word 'vagina' to 'hoohaa' 'Doing the right thing'? I understand that it's a comedy club and they're gunning for publicity, but where is the other side of this argument? Other than the director who I'm sure will be painted as a riot-mongering Uber-Feminist Lesbo-Bitch or something for asking the club to turn the name back.
