I got asked to go to a conference with work :D
The Association of Veterinary Microbiologists has a yearly meeting... granted it's less of a 'meeting' and more of a roundtable 'talk about what works/doesn't work in your lab' thing. Apparently. But I was asked to go, so that was nice. It's in Gatlinburg, Tennessee... a few other techs and I are renting a car from the University car pool and we get reimbursed for everything. So woo, nice Friday/Saturday off of work.
Work has been... active, which is to be expected this time of year. I've got a big list of upcoming things to get done, occasioannly slipping 'gym' and 'sleep' between them all. My friend Mari is getting married on the 27th of August, so I've got to fly up to Boston. Hopefully I'll have some time to do things around other than be driven insane by her family and soon-to-be-family-in-law. The week before that is the AVM meeting, every monday is class (which is going very well so far). I've got two abstracts to finish writing (why are they always harder than the actual paper?) and at some point (hopefully today), I've got to get the tag for my car, since it's been expired for a bloody year.
Well, no one can say I haven't tried. Least of all myself. :D
