Where you been so long?

Started school on Monday. Hooray for finally being a student again. Even if it is only one class, once a week for two hours.

It's that generic 'College 99' class that apparently a lot of schools are making manditory. College and Career skills. It actually looks as though it might be a good class (as far as classes like this go). My teacher's working on her PhD and sort of using us as guinea pigs. I don't really mind. Basically we go over the stuff in the book (which was a $50 word book, but has all of my assignments in it, and I just have to tear the pages out and turn them in), then... do homework that is the exact same stuff. So it isn't precisely hard. Which is fine by me. We're covering one chapter a week, and have a pile of things to do in between classes, but since it's mostly personal-input stuff (i.e., What do I want from a college experience) it doesn't take very long. I did a few assignments (or parts of assignments) per day, and finished up yesterday evening.

So as long as I keep that not-so-rigorous shedule up, I should pass no problem. heh.

The only knot up is Monday, August 28. My best friend is getting married in Boston on the previous day, and I'm planning on flying back that day, so I'll most likely miss class. I don't think this'll be a problem, I just need to remember to let my teacher know ahead of time.

Work-related note, things are going well. Busy-busy in a good way and seeing all sorts of interesting cases. I've been given the name of someone to get in touch with to discuss my future study and work possibilities (since I have some idea of what I'd like to do, but no specific idea of how I want to go about it). So yay for having connections.

On a completely unrelated note, my hair is huge and curly today :D
