I came down for a doctor's appointment on Friday but now I am back in school.
While at home, a couple of things happened. First, I was given a new fridge for my room that has a lot more room and is much quieter. I also got a new digital camera. Once I get everything set up, I will start posting pictures of the campus and other things. My parents got me both of these things so I am extremely thankful. I originally wanted to use one of my family's cameras but my sister said she needed both because only one of them is good for shooting video clips. I don't see how it was that important but long story short, I get my own camera. It is a Cannon Powershot A430 with 4 megapixels and a 4X optical zoom. It is also small and compact (not as mucha as an elph but still small). I also have a small scandisk drive to read the pictures off my memory cards and put it in my hard drive. I also have an extra 256 meg card in addition to the really small one that comes with the camera and a battery recharger. The camera can also run of regular double As so I can use those if I need to in a pinch.
The rest of my weekend was spent doing Chemistry homework and going to Club Bang with Megs, Victoria, Max, and Matt. I've actually been there once before. It is called The World. The cover was even higher than the last time (13 dollars!). We still had fun dancing like crazy and getting on the stage. I even ran into Cherrlyn and Jason! I was also drunk, but it was the lightest "drunk" I've ever been. This means more than buzzed but not full drunk. The drinks are also overpriced.
And parking was 10 dollars. The good thing was that they weren't playing any hip hop music! Unfortunately, Max thought they would be playing Motown and other soul hits but they didn't. Another highlight of the night was ridding in Bam's convertible Buick '71 Skylark. I was in the back on the freeway doing 80. Nuts. Oh and some guy was trying to ask me to hook up with his lady friend while we were in separate cars at a stoplight on Hollywood Blvd!
This semester seems like it is going to be a lot of fun. My roommates are great (much better than the old ones! - Borat) and I seem to be able to talk to a lot of new people. This is why I enjoy college. Some many people to live and interact with.
