Year in review 2010, aka 3 bestest TV shows!
Holy hand grenades, Batman, what a year it's been! The first half was a total, miserable waste. The second half was actually ok. I learned a lot throughout.
I don't want to think about the dregs of 2010, so I'll hit the high points. Most of them involve LJ or the internet anyway, so it's fitting to post here.
First up, '10 was the year I really became interested in live action TV series. This led me to watch three of the bestest shows evah! And also to become fans of actors other than Richard Armitage, Johnny Depp, and Christopher Walken.
Bestest show #1: Heroes
This is seriously the most addicting show I've ever watched. I watched the whole series without watching anything between. My enjoyment of the series is greatly influenced by Jack Coleman. Thank you, Heroes, for making me realize his amazingness.
Look at that hot, hot man! Yeah, he knows he's hawt. Mmhmm.
Bestest show #2: Sanctuary
Srsly, if I hadn't seen Heroes, this would be at #1. It's like Heroes: people with special powers, great actors, killer lines, engaging characters. And it's got Amanda Tapping staring. How can you not love that? But my love for the show didn't hit its present levels until I saw Nikola Tesla, played by Jonathon Young. That man has some srsly mad acting skillz. One minute he's playing a dorky researcher on Eureka, and the next he's uber slick Nikola, genius and snarker extraordinaire.
That grin! And the hair! I'm happy to see you too, J-Yo!
Bestest show #3: Legend of the Seeker
Yes, we only got through 2 seasons before TPTB canceled it, but hey, my favorite character survived both seasons! Well, sort of. You just can't keep a good Rahl down! Darken Rahl didn't become my fav character until the last ep of S01. But since then I've been a raving Craig Parker fan. Humor, villany, elves - you want it, he can do it. Great with the fans, too!
He's practically oozing evil hotness! And guh, arms!
In other news, these shows have brought me great new friends. Heroes: Hi, dref! Sanctuary: Hi, Padme! (ok,so we were co workers IRL, but still!) LotS: Hi, Pris! Hi, Bex! Hi, Classy! Hi, Melty! Hi, Talath! Hi, Sangate! Hi, Atlantis! Hi, everybody else at People's Palace!
And my mom and I are now raving Cake Wrecks (http://cakewrecks.blogspot.com/) fans. Thanks, Classy!
Oh, and I got accepted to grad school. Which I'm bored of already.
So yeah, that's the best that happened in '10 - that's relevant to my f'list's interests, at any rate!
