Revising is driving me nuts. But my day wasn't that bad. :)

May 14, 2008 00:42

Still on a revising spree for the upcoming exams. I'll get to sleep in a few minutes, and will wake up 8 hours later so I can maximize my last day of revisions, which will be focused on the preparation of my Speaking, and Prose (French-to-Japanese) exams.

Since my exams are now close, I don't think I'll be able to update my LJ before next week's Monday or Tuesday.

That being said, during my revisions today, I've done a little hatching session on Emerald (I can do it automatically while completely focusing on my work, since it's just a matter of moving my character from left to right, and I'm so used to breeding Pokémon that it's a mechanical reflex now).

And I finally gained today the near-perfect IV Ninjask I'm planning to use on Battle Frontier and Colosseum Battle mode. :)

It's a Male Adamant Ninjask (I preferred to go the Adamant route instead of the Jolly one, because even without a Speed boosting nature, Ninjask is still faster than the fastest enemy Battle Frontier Pokémon - a Jolteon with 394 Speed, my Ninjask, EV-trained, will have 419 Speed - , and Ninjask will need all the muscle he can have in the Battle Frontier if I need him to attack with Aerial Ace). Its IVs are :

HP : 31
ATT : 31
DEF : 28
SAt : 25
SDf : 29
SPD : 31

It'll have the following moveset :

* Aerial Ace (inherited from a long breeding chain)
* Swords Dance
* Substitute (will have to use the Pokémon XD Move Tutor for this one)
* Baton Pass

And, I'll give it the following EV spread : 6 HP / 252 ATT / 252 SPD (it has crap defenses, so his Subs will break if hit no matter what ; better improve its best stats instead).

I'll try to get the Liechi Berry so he can pass an Attack boost to Marowak, if he couldn't have the opportunity of pulling off a Swords Dance after its 3 Subs.

Maybe the Baton Pass strategy won't be extra wonderful in Battle Frontier, but I want to try it for fun. :) And even then, I'm sure the strategy is useable in Colosseum, provided that, in Double Matches, I support Ninjask with a good Follow Me user.
