Photo party, Round 2 ! With a bonus ! :)

May 03, 2008 17:13

As promised in the comments of yesterday's entry, here are some clearer and individual photos of the games I recently acquired. It's a present specially for Samuraiter, but it's for everyone's pleasure as well. ;)

A fair warning : that entry is image-heavy, so 56K and low connections beware.

Mais de rien, Samu, c'était avec plaisir "~^
(You're welcome, Samu, It was with pleasure "~^). And thanks ! :)

Tokimeki Memorial got several improvements for its original PC-Engine version to the Playstation version. For starters, it has a brand new opening demo : a (mediocre IMO) anime clip instead of animated sprites. You can see the PC-Engine opening here, and the PS1's here.

Then, for the few informations I could gather from Occidental sources and the Japanese Wikipedia, as I haven't played the PC-Engine version, here's the other additions :

- Fewer loading times,
- More character sprites (notably more different clothings),
- Improved graphics (for example, brighter colors, more background details, and special sunlight effects at the Beach and the Pool for example),
- Improved musics and new musics,
- A couple few more special dating events,
- More and new minigames (espcially at the school's sport festival in June)
- New icon interface at the game's main screen (i.e. the way the icons you click in order to choose an activity are layered is different from the PC-Engine version), but you can choose in PS1 Version's Options if you want to play with the PS1 interface or the PC-Engine version's.

If you want to see what the the PC-Engine version looks like, here's a video trailer of it. ;)

Oh, I didn't knew you can read French fluently. It's so rare to see (non-French or Quebec) English-speaking people who can read and write French. Very sorry. T_T

You too, you prefer the sprite-based intro of the PC-Engine ? Thanks, you reassure me, I thought I was a weirdo here for that preference. ^^
