I did have a part-time job before leaving to Japan, and saved money for both my living and my little guilty pleasures, yes.

(But note that despite the fact I bought a lot of things, I got them at really cheap prices, as I went for cheap second-hand shops, so the total price is rather low.)

If you had imported that stuff, oh man you'd have spent soooooo much money.

Yup. That's why I'm trying to find all the items I wanted before going there before my trip is over, because 1) going through import shops makes goods much more expensive, and 2) import shop don't have as much offer as shops in the country.

Same can be said for studies. I'm tying to gather as much documents as I can for my future works before the end of the trip, because after that it will be hard to find them from France.
