And although Sachertorte was invented in 1832, it's still a popular fancy dessert (and well within the abilities of most home bakers, at least if they own a heavy-duty electric mixer to beat the eggs with. (The original recipe, as preserved over time, used apricot jam instead of raspberry, but I like raspberry better, and many Viennese pastries use them more or less interchangeably).
