A little post Christmas update at the slight prodding of someone dear to me

And a happy new year, I suppose ^_^; I've been a little busy with work and such (one more raise, woo hoo!). I had a decent enough Christmas, family was passable, extended family was questionable. But to question them would most likely bring about an answer I really wouldn't want to hear

I loved Ethan Frome...I remember reading that along with the Scarlet Letter and the Lord of the Flies. I think I was the only person in my 7th grade class who understood all three of them though(I still want to re-read the LotF).

Anyway, I'm off with all my ramblings!

Yeah, all the cool people like Ethan Frome ^_^ I haven't read Lord of the Flies, is it as good as the movie?

Its a lot better than the film; the book has so much splendid imagery, and at the time the film was made (way back in the day) it must have been hard to capture is completely. I highly suggest checking it out =3

With Liam Neeson? I thought it was okay...I actually rented it after reading the book and it followed the flow of events rather well. The acting was really well; even Arquette does a decent job.
