Survived Tropical Storm "Fay"

It wasn't even a hurricane, yet it wreaked enough havoc to have our city's mayor refer to it as a hurricane. A lot of areas have been hit hard that resulted in flooding, fallen trees, and downed power lines. Fortunately, my family escaped with minor casualties. The worst was a big tree limb that fell onto a small portion of the fence separating our backyard from the neighbor's. The water from the creek looks more like a river now since its water level has risen to almost half of our backyard. Most of the vegetable garden my dad built is down, but again, just fortunate our house is ok and no one was hurt. We lost power Thursday night and got it back this morning (Saturday). I'm just glad it's all over and things starting to return back to normal.

My bf's house faired well, too, with the worst being a downed tree going across the intersection to leave the house (they live on a dead end street), but it's now removed, leaving only the crushed power bin thing that usually hangs up there on top of a power line pole. There were power lines on the ground and good thing the power's out in that neighborhood or else... zap!
