me and crystal went to blockbuster today and what happened to be sitting on the shelf?
american hardcore.
it was... i can't even describe it.
its depressing and amazing at the same time.
amazing to see what it was like back in the days.
when hardcore was actually what its supposed to be.
hearing all of the stories.
seeing all the real bands play.
and its depressing because its dead.
there will never be a hardcore scene around like there was from 79-80'ish to 84-86'ish.
NEVER.
hearing about everything and why it happened is incredible.
i don't care if you're into hardcore but if everyband played with the same emotion that the original hardcore bands played with music would be incredible.
sometimes i wish i could have been around in the "glory days" as one could probably say.
but if i was around would i be into it? i guess it depends.
but i wish the scene was the same and had the same mentality.
i want to be in a band that does have the same mentality and emotion like older bands did.
but who else does? not a lot of people in milwaukee.
and not a lot of people in the midwest for that matter.
ahh fuckin a.
crystal also helped realized that another awesome carreer to have would be owning my own record store.
and owning a record company too.
that would be fucking awesome.
but would probably require a business degree.
that too much fucking work.
