*swear curse, mutter mutter*
Right, so as many of you heard, the TTC when on a (illegal, might I add) strike first thing yesterday morning the 29th of May. Why does this bother me you ask, a grocery store worker from Mississauga? Because I was supposed to go downtown yesterday and get my visa to travel to India.
This TTC issue caused two main problems, which are linked through cosmic forces, in my life:
1)I NEED a visa to travel to India from Canada. Without it, I ain't going.
2)The Indian Consulate-General office is located about a block from the Davisville subway station, and for those of you who know where the davisville station is, it's a hell of a walk from Union first thing in the morning.
The bright side to all this is that we heard about this on the radio before I got the train to go downtown, which I am grateful for since otherwise I wouldn't have found out until I arrived at union station and at which point wasted a ten dollar GO ticket.
And since I was up really early anyway (8:05 am train was to be caught) the day was still productive.
