Not the biggest fan of this episode. It's draggy, and the part where Missouri thinks the poltergeist is gone but she's wrong is nonsensical. The guest star doesn't bring much to the table. Hate having the hear Deangirls whine about how mean Missouri is to Dean too. Nice to see Mary, though, and the start of Sam's freaky powers. Thank goodness Sam doesn't keep doing psychic drarwings in later episodes - he sucks.

Good creepy episode. Loved Sam at the shrink's office, picking at his jeans and trying not to bag on his brother. Can't believe Sam tried to shoot Dean four times though, even is he was possessed! Poor little angry giant.

I love this episode. It's almost perfect. I will marry this episode and become a bigamist. I don't scare easy, but the flayed skin scarecrow in this ep never fails to give me the creeps. It breathes in the scene where Dean checks it out!! This episode is also close to my Platonic ideal of how to do an hour of TV with a strong internal plot AS WELL AS propelling forward the season-long arc.

Snore. This is the episode that led to me abandoning the show back in 2005. It's better in retrospect than I remember, but it still doesn't do much for me. Interesting parallels to seasons three and four though. Sam's willing to any crazy old thing to save Dean, but I think this is the only time he's ever successful. Lovely mud all over the place. And I like the hunt for Dean among the travel trailers.
