Knit Project: Irish Hiking Scarf
Knit Source: Hello Yarn
Knit Specs: KnitPicks Andean Silk in Slate. Needle size 6
Knit Knowledge: Learned to cable using cable needle. Did some blocking experimentation to make the scarf wider.
Knit Notes: I used four balls of the Andean Silk, which made for a short scarf. It would've been nice if I'd ordered five balls, but honestly, I was pretty tired of the design after four. The Andean Silk is lovely to work with and has a satisfyingly heavy, drapey quality. This took me about a month. I'm a slow knitter, without a lot of spare time to knit, and I was working on this in September, when I was in the middle of my back pain experience. I couldn't sit for very long, and knitting lying on your back is hard!

Andy wore this twice, I think, and then lost it. He warned me something like that would happen, though, so I'm not (too) irritated.
