Oh thy beautiful red brick!
Thy straight and lovely lines!
Now gone... forever gone.
Oh thy beautiful hinged door!
All brass like shining rays.
It shall open ne'er more.
Thou wadst a beautiful mailbox!
Simple, yet elegent!
Never harmed a soul, never an ill wish meant.
Now thou art gone, dead forever.
Some of us morn thy passing, others look with scorn upon the shambles of thy being.
Gone, forever gone.
Thou wadst simply minding thy business, when it came....
The dreaded bus 21 of Kenton County.
Glaring in the afternoon sun, gazing upon its prey,
mocking at the helplessness of it's soon to be victim.
Gone, forever gone
The bus backed blindly up, our beloved mailbox stood strong.
Now the shambles of its once great self lie out front,
A tribute to its duty done.
Gone.... forever gone.
This is the product of a quirky mood and the exercising major poetic liscense. In case anyone was wondering, this happened like a half hour ago. The bus backed right into our mailbox (which is now in shambles in the front yard.) It damaged the bus as well, it was solid brick! I went out and would have cracked up if the driver hadn't looked so pitiful. Its just hilarious. How often does this happen? Ours is one of maybe 2 brick mailboxes and its gets hit rather than a cheap plastic one, AND we don't even ride the bus!!!!! I found the coincidence hilarious. :-) To make matters even better, we're leaving for vacation Friday morning and our microwave just broke as well! lol. i love life, and its hilarious coincidences. I find it soooo funny! :-D Today is an eventfull day! Hope to talk to you guys soon! bye!
