Yeehaw! I haven't done a single thing I intended to do today! Again! For the millionth time! Big surprise, eh?
Sometimes I wonder if perhaps my largest/only problem isn't just procrastination? That if I could solve that, everything else would click into place?
Of course, procrastination is just part of the story. I procrastinate for many different reasons. Oftentimes it's from fear. Either fear of a situation (ie other people), or fear of the thoughts I'll have when I get there. I could write pages on that one subject, come to think of it.
Well, it's not all bad news. One of my fitness goals for the longest time has been to run a mile, nonstop. Not a huge goal, perhaps, but you've gotta start somewhere. It seemed a long way off, though. Usually I'd run for about 3 minutes (and cover maybe a quarter mile or so) and then become exhausted. I can go all day on any of the cardio machines they have, but running takes a lot out of ya. Today, though, I actually ran over a mile (on a treadmill). W00t!
At 5.8 miles an hour, which of course worked out to around 11 minutes for the mile. Not the speediest time in the world, but I'm working on it. I still haven't lost any weight this week, but at least I'm doing something.
